Thinking humans realise that children are best cared for in a loving relationship within a family consisting of a mother and a father, each of the opposite sex. Whenever we try to put asunder what God has joined together, male and female marriage and child rearing, we step in and tell God He doesn't know what He is doing, we have a better way. Of course it is never a 'better way' and the most vulnerable, the children, suffer the worst harm.
Consider the following facts proven in this new study:
- traditional opposite-sex marriage is associated with improved outcomes, but same-sex marriage is associated with with lower outcomes.
In families with same-sex parents,
- above-average child depressive symptoms, rising from 50% to 88%;
- daily fearfulness or crying, rising from 5% to 32%;
- grade point average declining from 3.6 to 3.4;
- and child sexual abuse by parent rising from zero to 38%.
This new scientific study simply confirms the fact that children are best raised in the care of a biblically ordained and defined family. Like ALL Scripture, science will confirm the validity. Our children are too important an asset to squander so readily at the whim of the secular progressives who hate God with a passion yet deny His very existence.
Man's fallen reason is manifest in those who disbelieve the facts borne out by this study. "We look to see what the Scripture commands and then we amend it as reason demands" is a verse quoted by Kenneth Johns in his book "Election: Love Before Time." In order to better protect the next generation — for such is the Kingdom of Heaven — we would do well to begin believing and acting on Scripture and not amending it. Our children will bless us for it!
